Hello Motion Family! Here are updates for February at A Body In Motion:
A reminder for those not on auto draft that tuition is due by the 5th or a late fee is charged, even if we are closed for a holiday. Please make plans to stop by our front desk and take care of your February payment or fill out an auto draft form to avoid late fees. Payment may also be dropped off in our mailbox by our front door.
ANY STUDENT MORE THAN ONE MONTH PAST DUE IN TUITION IS AUTOMATICALLY DROPPED FROM THE ROLL.
Please be advised you will have to re-register your child if/when you return. Full enrollment classes with a waiting list will have the next child on the wait list move in to your child’s spot. For full enrollment classes, you will have to wait for an opening to return. Thank you.
FEBRUARY STUDIO CLOSINGS
There are no studio closing dates for holidays in February.
WE ARE EXPANDING TO A NEW LOCATION!
A Body in Motion is excited to announce that we are beginning construction on our new larger studio space! While it means moving off the Carrollton Square, we will be able to offer more class options and times for busy families and schedules. We will also have more room to just breathe! We hope to have classes up and running at the new Motion location after Recital! Transitions are always difficult but we need room to grow and this new studio will allow just that! If you wish to be a Dream Builder Volunteer and help with construction, please let Ms Carebear know, if you have not already. Keeping construction costs down enables us to keep class prices down and all volunteers will be able to sign a place on the wall in our new studio home so future generations can see who our Dream Builders were. WE NEED YOU TO GET IN MOTION!

We do all we can to get communication out expeditiously. Emails, Social Media, handouts, announcements in class, signs posted on the front door, and the chalk board sign out on the front porch. Even with all of that, we still have families who miss every attempt to communicate about important studio info. We discovered that many families did not know that all studio communications are also listed on our web site, www.abodyinmotion.us under “Studio News”! As we head full force into Recital Season, please make every attempt to check in and stay on top of info as it is posted. Thank you!

Saturday, Feb 17th: RECITAL 101 PARENT MEETING
This meeting is OPTIONAL but is helpful if you are new to the Recital process. All rehearsal schedules and calendars will be passed out. If keeping up with printing handouts and reading emails is a challenge for you, please consider attending this meeting! Just attend the time for your child’s class:
2-3pm: Creative Movement, Preschool Tap/Jazz, Tiny Cheer Prep, Level I Tap, Level I Ballet, Level I Jazz, Level I Hip Hop
3:30-4:30pm: Level II Tap, Level II Ballet, Level II Jazz, Level II Hip Hop, Baton Twirling, Cheer Prep, Level III Tap, Level III Ballet, Level III Jazz, Level III Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Lyrical, Pointe, Level IV Tap, Level IV Ballet, Level IV Jazz, Level IV Contemporary, Level IV Hip Hop, Level V Ballet, Drill Team Prep
May 14th – May 31st: STUDIO REHEARSALS
A full rehearsal calendar will be passed out at the Parent Meeting on Feb 17th. Your child will NOT rehearse every day. The exact days your child will have rehearsal will be listed on the calendar. Stay tuned.
Sunday, May 20th: RECITAL PICTURE DAY

Friday, June 23rd: REQUIRED DRESS REHEARSAL
Held at the Plano Children’s Theater in Plano. Exact Rehearsal times will be included in the rehearsal calendar passed out at the Parent Meeting on Feb 17th. Stay tuned.
Sunday, June 25th: A BODY IN MOTION’S 6TH ANNUAL GRAND SHOWCASE
SHOW TIMES: TBA
(Most students will only do one of the three shows. Only Competition teams, Musical Theater, and Level IV and V classes will do multiple shows. Which specific show your child’s class will perform in will be announced soon. Stay tuned)

REQUIRED RECITAL FEES
(Two Separate Nonrefundable Fees)
RECITAL FEE: $125 per performer – Due March 5th
(Covers rental of auditorium/dressing rooms, Tech Crew, Theater Stage Management Staff, Tech/Sound/Lighting Crew, Janitor Fees, Staff Fees, etc…)
COSTUME BUNDLE FEE: $80 for the first class your child is enrolled in, $50 for each additional class your child is enrolled in
DUE DATES: Fees can be split into two payments: April 9th and May 7th
(Covers costumes, Recital video, Props, Garment bags, Costume accessories, etc…)
EXAMPLE: Your child is enrolled in Tap II and Ballet II. Your child’s Costume Bundle Fee will be $80 for Tap II and $50 for Ballet II. Your total Costume Bundle Fee will be $130. The total amount of your child’s Costume Bundle Fees depends upon how man
